Dr. Romano received his undergraduate degree with a major in psychology from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  He received his masters and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education.  Dr. Romano then completed a one year internship in clinical psychology with the New Jersey Department of Human Services at the Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital and the Somerset County Mental Health Center. He then completed the three year post-doctoral certificate program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.  Dr. Romano is a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology of the American Board of Professional Psychology.  He is listed in the National Register of Health Services Providers in Psychology.  Dr. Romano is a Certified School Psychologist and a Licensed Practicing Psychologist in New Jersey.
